In great girthed fashion, the great stout redwoods claw for space, figthing twig and branch with its nearest neighbor, competetor, or passerby. Birds chirp and bounce at any disturbance, knocking thin needles to the forest floor. Almost imperceptibly, the lush ground slopes as it scrambles up the Mountain, tilting the land slightly askew in its frenetic dash. Obvious exits: South leads to Base of Mountain. Northeast leads to Mountain Path. Up leads to Sky Above Grid Alpha. Foxtrax arrives from the Mountain Path. Foxtrax pads in, looking around curiously. Foxtrax pads along quietly, humming to himself. Foxtrax In front of you is thin red fox, somewhat larger than a large canine. The main color of his fur coat is deep reddish, and his secondary coat color, which covers his muzzle down to his stomach, and the tip of his long bushy tail is a greyish white. His fur turns a black color on his paws and ear tips. Argen gazes down from her tree branch. "Hello," she says at last. Foxtrax looks up at the tree, and smiles. "Oh, hey... um, how did you get up there?" Argen states, "I climbed. Gray Foxes do that." Foxtrax blinks. "Um, but foxes.... um.. oh. Nevermind then. Sorry, didn't know. I'm used to just staying on the ground." Argen sounds somewhat smug. "Of course. Red Foxes do not climb." Foxtrax nods. "Of course I know that. You don't see me climbing, now do you?" Argen says, "Certainly not." Foxtrax looks up. "So, what is a gray fox like yourself, just hanging around for?" Foxtrax tries not to chuckle at the pun. Argen says, "I am, as I told Impulse earlier, observing." Foxtrax nods. "Ah, Impulse. Yeah, he seems to get around, doesn't he. So, whats to observe, way up here, in the middle of no where?" Argen supresses a smile. "Ants, for one." Foxtrax blinks? "Ants? As in Predacons, or as in the real ones?" Argen says dryly, "As in the real ones." Foxtrax nods. "Um... just wondering, why?" Argen responds, "Why not?" Foxtrax shrugs. "Because you can't eat them? Personally, I like to watch fish, because you can eat those." Argen comments, "If I am watching something edible, I concentrate on catching it, not merely observing." Foxtrax nods. "I didn't say I was watching it, not to eat it." Argen notes, "True enough." Foxtrax nods. "Well, I should probably let you get back to your ants then. I was just taking a walk." Argen says, "If you wish." Foxtrax smiles. "Well, I could stay, but then if any more foxes show up, it might seem a bit like we're trying to compete with the coyotes... or something." Argen raises an eyebrow-ridge, although the gesture is hidden by pine needles. "Indeed?" Foxtrax chuckles. "Ah, come on, its not like we could compete with them. There are just so many of them. But, I guess we have one advantage they don't." Argen says, "Which is?" Foxtrax smiles. "We have better fur coats. But, I could be mistaken. I'm not saying they have bad fur coats... Bah, I talk to much some times." Argen says, "I'm certain our fur coats are much better." Foxtrax nods. "Yeah. I think if we had any more foxes around, the coyotes might think its a conspiracy or something. Not like us foxes seem to hang out much with each other. Guess it has something to do with our programming or something..." Argen says, "Perhaps. We are solitary."
