It's quite a large cave, actually, with many caverns leading to diffrent caves, and the like. The walls are somewhat smooth, and so is the floor of the cave.. Vine-like plants snake in from outside and thru the entrance/exit, starting to curl around and grow on the inside wall... Thru the exit, you can see views of the Hunting grounds, and the river. [K]nemi and [B]anliogan's Cave [E]xit the cave to the [H]unting Grounds [E]xit the cave to the [R]iver [T]altari and [K]oemi's Cave You can see... [IC ] [Knemi] Purring to her family.. Knemi lies at the exit to the cave, humming softly.. Kiwanja moves in at a jerky pace from one of the inner caves, looking about her with each step, and stumbling occassionaly as this leaves her unnoticing of obstacles. Knemi yawns out at the lazy noon sun before looking over towards the scuffling sounds.. "..Hi sweetie.." she purrs with a little smile.. Kiwanja pauses, blinking slowly as she gazes back at her mother, eyes adjusting to the light, then with one of her incoherent greeting noises runs over to her. Knemi shifts her form a bit to extend an arm for her daughter to be hugged with. "..aww.." she coos.. "What you up to, hmm?" she asks softly, and gives her daughter a little lick on the forehead. Kiwanja wriggles, breaking into a grin and the start of a purr, then, looking about for inspiration, mumbles, "No'ing." Knemi chuckles at this.. "..Well then you're available for a good tickling, hmm?" she lets her daughter out of the hug to try and wiggle her paw to Kiwanja's underbelly to tickle her. Kiwanja flops onto her back obediently, kicking ineffectually with her hindlegs. Knemi wiggles her toes around for a bit, and then goes about coldnosing her daughter's tummy. "..I... gotcha!" she giggles, closing her eyes to give them a little guarding from her daughter's paws. Kiwanja bats rapidly at her mothers face, claws extending and resheathing convulsively as she giggles. Knemi flinches a bit as the ridge of her nose gets nicked, and she lets up.. She pulls her head back and looks at her daughter with a grin. On afterthought, she sticks her tongue out at the cub playfully. "Miyahh." Kiwanja squirms, staring up, then breaks into loud near-screaches of delight at her mother's expression. Knemi blinks at this, pulling her tongue back into her maw. "...Y'like that, hmm? ..maybe too much.. we'll probably end up waking everyone in the Valley with that voice of yours.." she chuckles. Kiwanja screeches once more, just because she can, then falls (relatively) silent with a lopsided grin on her face, and relaxes where she's lying on her back. Knemi's ears flick at the sound.. "..Wow. I hope you never have to wake me up in the early morning.. a lion could go deaf from that sound.." she flashes a smile anyway. Kiwanja continues grinning, looking utterly adorable. A terror at temporary rest. Knemi melts. "...You are just too cute!" she coos, leaning down to give you a gentle nuzzle.. "...What am I gonna do when you grow up an' ask me for somethin' outrageous an' give me that face? I'll spoil you rotten oi will oi will.." she says the last words in a strange, kinda funny-sounding accent. Kiwanja makes questioning sound, not entirely enamoured by this sudden shift in tone. Knemi pulls her head back a bit, looking into one of your little eyes with one of her large ones. "...You'll understand later in life, really you will." she says softly, a smile coming to her muzzle and a purr in her throat. Kiwanja's shrugs is translated by her upsidedown sprawl into yet another wriggle, but the cub continues to smile, enjoying the affection she has always considered her due. Knemi grins and tries to collect her daughter up into her paws before rolling over onto her back and depositing Kiwanja on her chest.. "You silly cubbie.." she coos. Kiwanja resumes her sprawl, now bellysidedown, over her mother's pale chestfur. Then her twisting to look about from her new higher perch is nearly enough to send the cub tumbling off. Knemi blinks, and puts her paws out near Kiwanja, ready to catch or support her if needed.. "..Watch out there.." she says softly. "Y'might just fall down go boom." she coos. Kiwanja grumbles under her breath, but subsides unto stillness for the moment. Knemi tries to keep her breathing slow to give her daughter a less.. well, moving, surface to be on. "...You're alright, I'll catch you if you fall.." she says softly.. Kiwanja shifts a little, resttling, then forward into the crook of her mother's throat, purring in the warmth. Knemi blinks at this, but stays pretty much still.. unless you count her swallowing. She purrs softly back to her daughter, smiling gently.. Kiwanja snuggles further, somewhere in this time having fetched up with her hindlimbs and rump on the ground, alleviating some of the pressure on the Lioness. Knemi rolls slowly so she's on her side, Kiwanja's head and shoulders still resting on her throat.. She curls a foreleg loosely around her daughter, continuing with her soft purr.. Kiwanja purrs as well, louder now, but peacefully, then yawns before stilling completely with the sudden fatigue of a young creature. Knemi sighs happily, letting herself relax and close her eyes slowly, just enjoying the moment. With everything going on with her other children, she needs this time.. Kiwanja yawns once more, then closes her eyes, bonelessly content. Knemi continues to softly purr as she thinks about various things.. happy again even after so much confusion and sadness came to her just a while ago. Kiwanja abruptly decides she has enough of napping and, with a backwards roll, tumbles away and to her feet. Knemi cracks open an eye, peering over at her daughter, almost too lazy to move at the moment. "...mmm?" she manages to mumble. Kiwanja shakes herself free of clinging dust and totters towards the main exit, muttering vague things. Knemi blinks a couple times.. "...Kiwanja.." she says in a somewhat comanding voice.. tho it's hard to be comanding when you're half asleep.. "..Don't wander far.." Kiwanja turns her head and stares back at her mother, ears dropping, the picture of pleading dejection. Knemi sighs.. "...It starts.." She mutters. She pushes herself to her paws after a bit of a struggle (gravity doesn't seem to want to let her go today) and pads towards the exit.. "Go on out.. I'll be right there.." she purrs, blinking as her eyes adjust to the more bright light of the doorway. Kiwanja blinks as well, and then heads out into the world. Not quite as much fun as if she were /sneaking/ out, maybe, but still... Uzima Valley Hunting Grounds You are in the upper righthand corner of the basin now, and soft, light green grasses surround you, tall, and swaying in the breezes that constantly ruffle your fur. The ground is soft and springy beneath your feet, from layers of dead grasses, and the sun beats down on you from above. You spot a rather large tree in the distance, that borders a small riverlet flowing through the basin. To your left, you spot a large rock, that looks rather small from your perspective, but you are sure is larger when you get closer. Another large feature of the area is the herd of impala, making these grounds the perfect hunting area, and the perfect area for frolicing and bounding about, basking in the warm african sun, or just enjoying life. [ZZZ] [Jinja] ,watching over the new cubs.. Knemi arrives from the direction of the caves. Knemi lopes out after her daughter, padding into the grass.. "Don't go out of eyeshot, sweetie.." she purrs, ear flicking at a bug that just landed on it. Kiwanja tramps on through the grass, tail high, that and her ears flicking as various small insects make their presence known. Knemi pads to the remains of a somewhat recent kill, sniffing at it for a moment before looking back to her daughter to make sure she's not getting into trouble yet. She yawns, shaking the last of sleep from her mind. Kiwanja circles back, staring at the kill suspiciously, making little uncertain rushes at it before drawing back again. Knemi watches her daughter curiously, sitting and curling her tail around her.. "It won't hurt you.. it's not alive." she says softly. "..It's just those ones over there.." she gestures with her nose towards the herd, "That you've got to look out for." she says, scrunching her nose up a bit at a memory of what happened to Ajabu the first time he tried hunting. Kiwanja frowns in thought, moves forward again and then, greatly daring, thwaps at a nearby area of hide with one outstretched forepaw. Knemi tilts her head slightly, a little smile still remaining on her face. "...It's good to eat too, you know.. just don't gulp it down in one bite." she purrs softly as she watches. Kiwanja sits back, still not convinced, and not yet willing to see the thing as edible. Knemi chuckles. "..I suppose it could serve as a batting bag for now tho, hmm?" Kiwanja doesn't respond, too intent on first batting and then gnawing at a temptingly bouncy bit of dried hide. Knemi purrs softly, idly watching her daughter.. her eyes wander to the horizion every once and awhile tho, for safety reasons. Kiwanja drops to her belly, still chewing on the now sepearted piece of prey. Mm, jerky. Knemi stretches a bit, and then lays down in the grass, watching her daughter thru half-lidded eyes.. obviously the warmpth of the sun is making her sleepy.. Kiwanja mutters in a contented, rambling kind of way, enjoying the warmth of the sunlight herself. Knemi starts falling asleep, purrs still coming softly from her throat.. Kiwanja shifts onto her side, back against any convenient part of her mother, and slips into a doze. Knemi sleeps as well, her purrs stoping and her body laying in the grass.
